Level I 100 Hours
March 1st - 19th, 2010
Students must complete level I & II for a 200 hour Yoga Alliance teaching certificate.
Students will gain a strong foundation in the methodology, philosophy, psychology and practical aspects of Yoga. We will explore the science of Asana and the art of addressing the individual’s needs through Yoga using Yoga Chikitsa, or Yoga therapy, as our guide. Specific attention to alignment and detail empower the student in developing a personal practice as well as how to develop great classes. Students will learn adjustments, how to successfully read individual’s bodies & physiology and to make the necessary modifications for the individual’s benefit. Level II 100 Hours March 29th - April 18th, 2010
Trainees must have completed Level I.
We will investigate further into the art of Yoga and teaching skills. Students will have the opportunity to develop their own classes and teaching styles. Student practice will deepen as we focus on longer holds in asanas, inversions, arm balances, hip openers and backbends in particular. Our prime objective will be to prepare students further for the practical application of what they have learned in offering classes of their own; sequencing, adjustments, reading bodies, teaching skills, and ultimately, how to become a great teacher...

Level III 100 Hours

Trainees must have completed Level I and II.
For the student interested in honing their skills in the endless process of Yoga. A continuation of teaching skills, anatomy, the therapeutic use of Yogasana, adjustments, pranayama, and Patanjali’s Yoga Philosophy and Psychology.
Level IV 100 Hours
Jan 24 - Feb 26th, 2011
Trainees must have completed Level I , II, and III.


Level I Teacher Training application & reservation:
1) Send a $350 nonrefundable deposit made out to Yoga Hanalei.
The balance is due by the first day of the training.
Level 1 & 2 are $2100 each, total for both trainings in one year is $3900.
2) Include a letter describing:
a) How long have you been practicing Yoga?
b) Who are your main teachers?
c) How long have you studied with them?
d) A recommendation, preferably from a Yoga teacher.
e) What tradition of Yoga do you practice?
f) Any physical or psychological conditions that you have.
g) Are you currently on any medications?
h) Your contact information.

Cancellation Policy: Yoga Hanalei reserves the right to cancel any teacher training if there are fewer then 10 participants registered two weeks prior to the event date. All deposits will be returned in full. We have yet to cancel any training.
